5 Easy Ways to Use Caravel Gourmet's Cyprus Citrus Flake Sea Salt in Recipes

Pyramid-shaped crystals infused with lemon!

Cyprus Citrus Flake Chicken.   You can salt a chicken two ways, depending on how much time you have.   If you’re going to cook in the next hour or two (up to 6 hours), make a brine - add ¼ cup Caravel Gourmet's Cyprus Citrus Flake Sea Salt for every 1 cup hot water (dissolve the salt) and 1 cup ice water.   Take the pieces of chicken you’re going to cook, and add them to the brine.   If you’re going to cook 6 hours or more away, then coat the pieces in a healthy sprinkle of Caravel Gourmet's Cyprus Citrus Flake Sea Salt, wrap them back up, and put them in the fridge.

Cucumber Cyprus Citrus Flake Salad.   Give this one a bit of time and it will reward you.   Chill your cucumbers first, then slice them into ⅛” discs.   Lightly salt them with Caravel Gourmet's Cyprus Citrus Flake Sea Salt, and toss.   Let them sit covered in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, then drain and toss with rice or white vinegar for a tasty, refreshing treat!

Braised Cyprus Citrus Flake Lamb Shank.    Do you know when to salt lamb shank? If you’re cooking tomorrow, sprinkle a generous amount of Caravel Gourmet's Cyprus Citrus Flake Sea Salt tonight - letting the salt sit on the lamb longer (up to overnight) will do amazing things for this dish.

Asparagus with Cyprus Citrus Flake & Butter.   Prep the asparagus by trimming off the thick ends and rinsing in cold water.   In an iron skillet (or the heaviest one you have with a lid), heat the butter till it starts to bubble, then add the asparagus, and shake the pan to coat it in the butter.   Cover the pan and cook on medium for 3 minutes, checking to make sure it’s not burning. Uncover and cook a few more minutes until the asparagus is bright green, then add Caravel Gourmet's Cyprus Citrus Flake Sea Salt to taste.
Sauteed Cyprus Citrus Flake Peas.   With either fresh or frozen peas, add to a pan with a pat of butter and saute on low for a few minutes, until the peas are a bright green color and tender to the touch.   Add a bit more butter, and a bit of garlic. Don’t add Caravel Gourmet's Cyprus Citrus Flake Sea Salt until you’re ready to serve - this will dehydrate the peas, especially if they’re frozen.

Its pleasantly authentic flavor makes it an irresistible choice for professional chefs and bakers. Used with salads, pasta, fruit, fish, vegetables, tomatoes, hors d’oeuvres and crudites.
