Spicy Cajun Chicken.   You can salt a chicken two ways, depending on how much time you have.   If you’re going to cook in the next hour or two (up to 6 hours), make a brine - add ¼ cup Caravel Gourmet's   Spicy Cajun Sea Salt for every 1 cup hot water (dissolve the salt) and 1 cup ice water.   Take the pieces of chicken you’re going to cook, and add them to the brine.   If you’re going to cook 6 hours or more away, then coat the pieces in a healthy sprinkle of Caravel Gourmet's   Spicy Cajun Sea Salt, wrap them back up, and put them in the fridge.

Grilled Spicy Cajun Onions.   Breaking out the grill? Make this easy side dish - grab a few large onions, slice them into 1” discs, brush on some olive oil and sprinkle them with Caravel Gourmet's   Spicy Cajun Sea Salt before letting them slow cook on a cooler part of the grill until they’ve caramelized.   Be sure to turn them at least once.
Spicy Cajun Kidney Beans.   Want a quick, easy meal in no time? Grab a can of kidney beans, stir in a teaspoon of Caravel Gourmet's   Spicy Cajun Sea Salt and some paprika, and heat in the microwave until hot - and you’ve got a protein-packed, nutritious, delicious meal.

Oven Roasted Spicy Cajun Sweet Potatoes.   The sweetness of the potatoes and the savory flavor of Caravel Gourmet's   Spicy Cajun Sea Salt are a perfect match.   Chop the sweet potatoes into 1” chunks and toss with olive oil.   Lay in a shallow roasting pan and bake at 425F for 35 minutes or until crispy, turning once.   Sprinkle with Caravel Gourmet's Spicy Cajun Sea Salt and serve.
Grilled Spicy Cajun Shrimp.   Preheat your grill to medium heat, then mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil, a teaspoon of paprika, and a tablespoon of Caravel Gourmet's   Spicy Cajun Sea Salt.   Toss the shelled shrimp in that mixture, then grill each side of the shrimp for 2-3 minutes, until opaque.

This blend of cajun spices and natural sea salt is perfect for taking it up a notch as a rub on meats, seafoods or veggies. Sprinkle on eggs, baked potatoes, salad, french fries, mix in with mac and cheese, and while cooking chicken or shrimp lightly dust the surface with your choice, or anything else that might benefit for some southern flare.
