Smoked Salted Cheese Fondue

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz Gruyère cheese (shredded)
  • 8 oz Emmental cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 clove garlic (halved)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Smoked Sea Salt for seasoning
  • Bread cubes for dipping

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fondue Pot: Rub the inside of the fondue pot with the halved garlic clove.
  2. Heat the Wine: Pour the wine into the pot and heat over medium-low heat until warm.
  3. Melt the Cheese: Gradually add the shredded Gruyère and Emmental cheeses, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted and smooth. If the mixture is too thin, mix the cornstarch with a bit of wine and stir it into the cheese mixture until it thickens.
  4. Season and Serve: Sprinkle with Smoked Sea Salt to taste. Serve with cubes of bread for dipping.
