VERSATILE, TART, AND SUNNY!
Cucumber Lemon Salad. Give this one a bit of time and it will reward you. Chill your cucumbers first, then slice them into ⅛” discs. Lightly salt them with Caravel Gourmet's
Lemon Sea Salt, and toss. Let them sit covered in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, then drain and toss with rice or white vinegar for a tasty, refreshing treat!
Grilled Lemon Shrimp. Preheat your grill to medium heat, then mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil, a teaspoon of paprika, and a tablespoon of Caravel Gourmet's
Lemon Sea Salt. Toss the shelled shrimp in that mixture, then grill each side of the shrimp for 2-3 minutes, until opaque.
Lemon Chicken. You can salt a chicken two ways, depending on how much time you have. If you’re going to cook in the next hour or two (up to 6 hours), make a brine - add ¼ cup Caravel Gourmet's Lemon Sea Salt for every 1 cup hot water (dissolve the salt) and 1 cup ice water. Take the pieces of chicken you’re going to cook, and add them to the brine. If you’re going to cook 6 hours or more away, then coat the pieces in a healthy sprinkle of Caravel Gourmet's Lemon Sea Salt, wrap them back up, and put them in the fridge.
Sautéed Lemon Peas. With either fresh or frozen peas, add to a pan with a pat of butter and sauté on low for a few minutes, until the peas are a bright green color and tender to the touch. Add a bit more butter, and a bit of garlic. Don’t add Caravel Gourmet's
Lemon Sea Salt until you’re ready to serve - this will dehydrate the peas, especially if they’re frozen.
Lemon Avocado Toast. Next time you whip up your favorite avocado toast and sprinkle some sea salt on it, use a flavored salt like Caravel Gourmet's
Lemon Sea Salt to add extra complexity and depth to the avocado.
